Hawaii Ocean Project is a locally owned and operated excursion company that has been serving Maui’s residents and visitors for over 35 years. We operate Maui’s largest and most comfortable boats from the historic Lahaina harbor, and we sail along Maui’s calm and protected western shore. There is something special about each one of our boats that separates Hawaii Ocean Project from any other boating organization.
Well-respected Captain Dave Jung is the President and Senior Captain of Hawaii Ocean Project’s family fleet of ships. Captain Jung has been with Hawaii Ocean Project since 1970. His extensive shipboard knowledge and familiarity with our Hawaiian waters has allowed Hawaii Ocean Project to grow and remain successful throughout the years.
Not only is Hawaii Ocean Project recognized for local community support, but we are also known for our eco-friendly cruises, and partnerships with scientific marine research groups. We offer a voluntary program whereby passengers can donate to scientific research.
