In June, we talked about our exciting Molokini Snorkel Excursion, and now we’re pleased to announce that our days of operation have expanded in response to demand. We are now offering the tour Tuesdays through Saturdays, so you’ll have more days to choose from in your busy Maui vacation schedule. In light of how much fun our guests are having with this tour, we’re thrilled to provide them with the added convenience of more scheduling availability.
A couple of things stand out about the excursion. First, we are the only tour company departing from Lahaina Harbor that will take you on a Molokini snorkel. Second, to make the trip even more convenient, we will provide courtesy transportation from select hotels in West Maui on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
If you’re not familiar with the experience, Molokini is that tiny crescent-shaped island situated two miles off the coast of South Maui. Formed by an ancient volcanic caldera, there’s little left of the island, and its encircling arms are just substantial enough to protect a thriving coral reef from wind and wave action. That means conditions are calmer for you, too! Because the island is made up of cliffs rather than beaches, there’s very little sand getting kicked up, and that’s why it has some of the clearest waters in Hawaii, and anywhere in the world, for that matter.
You can only get to Molokini by boat, and if you’re staying in West Maui, our tour departs from Lahaina Harbor, which is the closest to your location. Most other tours depart from Ma’alaea Harbor, which is a 25-35 minute drive from Lahaina, depending on traffic.
We recommend that you bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a towel, a hat, a cover up to protect your skin, and cash if you want some souvenirs. If you need more information, check out the flier below or go to our Molokini Snorkel Excursion page. For further assistance, you’ll find our contact information at the bottom of the page. Mahalo!
